Defamation Lawsuit Against Actor Robert Knepper by Longtime Hollywood Costume Supervisor
On February 28, 2018, AK+G’s Marvin Krakow, Gail Glick, and Christopher Lee filed suit in the Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of Susan Bertram, a Costume Supervisor, against Robert Knepper, an actor known for his roles in “Prison Break”, “iZombie”, and “Homeland”. Ms. Bertram’s Complaint alleges that Knepper sexually assaulted her in 1991, when she worked on a film titled “Gas Food Lodging” and that Knepper defamed her when he issued public statements that the sexual assault allegations were false.

EQUAL PAY CLASS ACTION AGAINST VICE MEDIA
On February 13, 2018, AK+G’s Michael Morrison and Jessica Choi filed a class action against Vice Media Inc. and Vice Media LLC (collectively "Vice") on behalf of a former employee of Vice, and others similarly situated, alleging violations of California, New York, and federal statutes requiring equal pay between men and women.

Race Discrimination Claim Against SGPD
J. Bernard Alexander, III and Amelia Alvarez of AKG, along with co-counsel Paul W. Nguyen of Shield Litigation, LLP and Tom Yu of Law Office of Tom Yu, APC, filed suit today against the San Gabriel Police Department on behalf of five veteran Asian-American police officers for failure to promote and hostile work environment.

Steenhoek (Bachelorette) Sexual Harassment Case v. Warner Bros.
AK+G’s Michael Morrison and Jessica Choi represent Plaintiff Becky Steenhoek, a former employee on the popular "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" television series. The firm filed a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit on behalf of Ms. Steenhoek against Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc., NZK Productions, Inc., as well as Executive and Cast Producers, in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Case No. BC681491 on October 30, 2017.

The Regents of the University of California, a case on which Bernard Alexander and Brett Beeler of AKGLLP began trial on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in the Los Angeles Superior Court, was discussed at length on the front page of the Los Angeles Daily Journal on the same date in an article entitled “Case of Lover Who Spied on Medical Records Hurtles Toward Trial.”
Gail Glick, along with co-counsel James Clark of the Tower Legal Group in Sacramento, is pursuing a discrimination and harassment case against UPS on behalf of an intellectually disabled worker. The case, entitled Marcelus Hines v. United Parcel Service, Inc., (Sacramento Superior Court Case number 34-2015-00183020) was filed on August 13, 2015.
