Gail Glick moderated a panel entitled “20 Tips: Class Actions – Discovery & Settlements” on March 31, 2011 at the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s annual Labor and Employment Law Symposium in downtown Los Angeles. The panel offered practical advice for dealing with the top issues that currently impact wage-hour class actions, including discovery, evidence gathering, putative class member declarations, pre-certification issues and motions, class mediation, settlement, and post-settlement challenges.

Bernard Alexander spoke on the topic of “Closing Arguments: Making Your Final Pitch To The Jury” on March 26, 2011 at the National Employment Lawyers Association’s two-day seminar entitled “Trial Advocacy For The Plaintiffs’ Employment Lawyer” in downtown Los Angeles. The panel demonstrated and discussed closing argument techniques, strategies, and tactics for both liability and damages.
